Old Halesonians RFC has raised more than £4,600 for people affected by the recent Stourbridge wildfires, after the club organised and hosted a community fundraising event in less than six days.

What began as a conversation at the club quickly turned into a full community effort, with players, members, families, local businesses and volunteers all giving their time, donations and support at very short notice. The money raised will go directly to helping those who have been most affected by the fires.

The club has thanked everyone who supported, donated, volunteered and came along on the day, along with the sponsors and local businesses who stepped in to help make the event possible.
